I have been a member of Substack for about 3 months and the number of these profiles that have contacted me must have reached triple digits. 3 more in the last two days.
Thank you for this lovely ode as it at least lets me know that we all suffer from this plague.
and then there are the ones that request say $30 as they need to buy groceries and when you say no they say they accept gift cards.... i really do feel for the guys that have been scammed
Yeah I’ve been thinking of writing a little article about this. For me, the difference between sex worker and a romance scammer is that the sex worker is upfront about wanting to make money.
Unfortunately, that is not what most men want to hear; they’d rather believe someone is falling in love with them. But, wouldn’t we all? So its a complex issue.

Yeah I’m in those spaces right now and its a drag. I hate that my competition on OF is mainly bots and dudes in call centers. Sigh.

yes but i have found on here it seems like its a slow burn over one or two days of back and fourth texting and then out comes questions about money.
Yes romance scammers are worse as they mess with peoples minds and possible feelings
